APPLICATION PURPOSE: THE SECTION 165 FUNDS WILL PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT NEEDED TO DESIGN AND BUILD THE LYNNWOOD LINK EXTENSION (LLE) WHICH PROVIDES NEW HIGH-CAPACITY TRANSIT SERVICE WITHIN THE CONGESTED I-5 CORRIDOR CONNECTING REGIONAL GROWTH CENTERS OF DOWNTOWN SEATTLE NORTHGATE AND LYNNWOOD. THE PROJECT WILL ALSO PROVIDE ACCESS TO UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON THE EASTSIDE (KING COUNTY) AND SEA-TAC AIRPORT.
